Google Business Profiles to let you manage your social links - Google is introducing a feature that allows businesses to manage their social media links on their Google Business Profiles, which appear in Google Search and Maps. They can add, edit, or remove links to various supported social networks.
Google Search Generative Experience adds SGE while browsing - Google's Search Generative Experience (SGE) adds features like summarizing web pages, showing definitions in responses, and color-coded syntax highlighting for code. It doesn't work on paywalled content.
Google Navigational Queries Shouldn't Trigger SGE - Google's Danny Sullivan says that Google probably shouldn’t trigger SGE answers for navigational queries by default, following complaints about a lack of helpful links in SGE responses.
Google: If You're Using AI To Write Your Content, It's Going To Be Rehashed From Other Sites - John Mueller of Google noted on Reddit that AI-written content is usually rehashed from existing web content. He stressed that sites need unique value and a clear purpose, not just great content.
Google: Domain Name Is Never Going To Make Or Break Your SEO - Google's John Mueller said on Mastodon that keywords in domain names don't offer a significant SEO benefit, emphasizing that branding matters more.
